Promises and their next steps are free for everyone. They do not include personal journaling or progress tracking.
Daily Promises ("Mark This Promise Received"): When you mark a Daily Promise as received on The Pillow of Promise, that checkmark is remembered only in your own browser storage (localStorage) on this device under wsf-promise-received:. It is never uploaded to a server, requires no sign-in, and remains intact on your device across website updates. Free "My Steps" responses (meditation rounds, confessions, agreement invitations and sharing cards) are prepared in your browser for your visit only and are not saved to any account.
Optional Partner account saving: Word Spirit Fire is responsible for any optional account progress you choose to connect as a signed-in Partner. Signed-in members can use the deletion control below at any time, or reach us through the About page. Last updated: 25 October 2026.
If you explicitly connect Partner account saving, we store your Ghost member identifier and the study or journey records you choose to save. Account saving is optional and requires your explicit permission. You can withdraw that permission by deleting your saved account progress below; you can still read all promises and studies.
Ghost provides membership and sign-in. Supabase processes the saved progress for WSF, with this project hosted in its EU West (Ireland) region. Browser records use AES-GCM encryption. After you connect your records, a recovery key is stored separately on the saving service and is released only following verified Ghost sign-in and paid membership. Authorised service access can recover records; this is not encryption that prevents WSF from accessing them. Old password-only records remain unrecoverable until you connect them with the correct password.
We use progress only to show your own journey and open it across your devices. There are no public community totals, advertising profiles or automated decisions about you. Membership and payment records are handled separately by Ghost and its payment provider.
Cancellation stops paid access; it does not delete progress automatically. Progress remains until you delete it or ask WSF to delete it. You can sign in as a free member to delete it, or request deletion using the WSF contact address shown above when available. Automatic inactivity cleanup is not enabled. Deletion removes live progress content, recovery keys and sync operations; a non-content deletion marker remains to help prevent stale devices restoring records. Provider backup copies may remain until their normal backup expiry.
Device copies and downloaded backups remain on those devices until you remove them. Protect them with your device passcode. Deleting account progress does not erase them. Export a backup from your dashboard before deleting if you want a copy.
Sharing is optional. You review the promise, situation and testimony before sending them to your chosen app. WSF publication requires separate permission for the selected channels and review. Social platforms apply their own privacy terms. Avoid identifying anyone else without their permission.
